Mina “SayWhat” Llona is a Multi-Media Personality with over 15 years of broadcast experience ranging from television and radio to digital and print media. She is also an event host, commercial voice-over talent, social influencer and public speaker operating her own business, Mina Llona Imperium LLC. Growing up in Union City, an urban neighborhood in New Jersey, Mina developed a strong love and passion for music, sports, and dance. She loves to learn and laugh. Over the years she has developed to wear many hats that include Radio Personality, TV Reporter, Writer, Podcaster, Event Host, Voice Over Specialist, Brand Ambassador and Public Speaker.
Mina Llona has been an On-Camera TV Contributor since 2014. Currently, Mina is seen on the Law & Crime Network giving commentary and reporting on celebrity criminal trials. Mina reported entertainment and lifestyle news on Fox 29 Philadelphia's 4a-6a morning show weekly from October 2017 to July 2018. She has also appeared on 6ABC, CBS3 and NBC10 in Philly as well as featured nationwide on Inside Edition, Oxygen’s Sisterhood Of Hip Hop and The Rachael Ray Show. Mina is bilingual and has hosted Philadelphia’s Puerto Rican Parade, which airs on 6ABC in Philadelphia yearly, since 2014.
Mina, under the name Mina SayWhat, is currently on-air nationwide on SIRIUSXM’s The Heat. Her show, “Mina’s House,” airs Monday through Friday 6a-12p ET. Her podcast, Mina’s House Podcast, can be found on www.MinaSayWhat.com and all podcast platforms. In 2021, Mina became a feature writer for The Philadelphia Tribune reporting on Entertainment, Arts & Lifestyle news in Philadelphia.

Mina started coming into her own while attending Emerson High School in Union City, NJ. She played basketball, volleyball and softball for the schools’ varsity teams. As the Vice President of Student Council, Mina regularly spoke in front of her peers and hosted school events. Her volleyball team won a Championship while she was on the team. Mina graduated Salutatorian from Emerson and received a full academic scholarship to Syracuse University (SU).
Mina’s career in broadcast begun at the age of 18, while she was a freshman at Syracuse broadcasting daily on the school radio station, WJPZ 89.1. While she was at Syracuse, Mina interned under Ebro Darden at WQHT Hot 97 in New York City and WWHT Hot 107.9 in Syracuse, NY. A proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at SU, Mina graduated Cum Laude with two majors (Television, Radio And Film/Political Science) and a minor in Music Business. Her first official big break in radio was at the age of 21 when she was hired at SIRIUS XM Radio. There, she broadcasted to 22 million subscribers on SiriusXM THE HEAT and was also a Program Director/Music Director for various music channels.
In 2012, Mina decided to accept a position in Philadelphia as the Morning Show Host on the Rise & Grind Morning Show (6a-10a) on Philadelphia’s legendary radio station WUSL – Power 99. Joining their team at the age of 25, she became the first Latina morning show host on Power 99. The show reached #1 overall 18-34, the first time in the history of morning shows at Power 99. During her time at Power 99, Mina also oversaw their digital department and lead the expansion of the stations properties into a digital and social world. She was also the voice of the weather for WMIB – 103.5 The Beat in Miami from 2013 to 2017. After 6 long years of doing morning radio in Philly, Mina decided to return to Sirius XM in 2018. She is still there and has worked for SIRIUSXM for over 10 years.
Mina does a lot for the community and is a big believer in giving back! She founded “The Power Squad,” an all-female dance team ages 15-22, where Mina served as a coach and mentor for 6 years! She is an ambassador for the Philadelphia 76ers sponsored “La Liga Del Barrio” basketball league. As their ambassador, Mina hosts community events

As their ambassador, Mina hosts community events on behalf of the league and participates in kids training camps, charity events and various other events with the organization. Mina is also a member of Syracuse University’s WJPZ Alumni Association, which she served on the board of for 1 year. Mina returns to campus 1-2 times a year to talk to students interested in media. Mina was inducted in Syracuse’s WJPZ Radio Hall of Fame in March of 2024. She also regularly volunteers for El Concilio (the Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations of Philadelphia), the oldest Latino organization in Philadelphia.
Mina is a Public Speaker, Commercial Voice-Over Talent and Event Host who regularly contributes to speaking engagements at universities, ivy-league colleges, high schools, elementary schools and she moderates discussion panels. Mina spoke at her alma mater Syracuse University and has spoken at Temple University, Villanova University and University Of Pennsylvania to name a few. Her speaking topics range from succeeding in media, to women empowerment, the future of radio, staying focused in school, the importance of social media, branding, finding your path and overcoming your economic circumstances. As voice-over talent, she has voiced commercials for Pepsi, Aquafina, Gift Of Life Organ Donation, MTV, VH1, TNT, McDonald’s, Ideal Image Laser Hair Removal, Mattress Firm, Yahoo and Budweiser.
Mina has over 10 years of hosting experience. She started in high school hosting pep rallies and has hosted a variety of events since, including arena concerts and parades. In 2020, for the first time ever, Mina started hosting virtual events. She was a commencement speaker for Delaware State University's virtual graduation, moderated a panel on rebuilding after CoVid19 and Civil Unrest and hosted the virtual Wawa Welcome America concert in Philadelphia with Jason Derulo as the headliner.
